What Superdock is
Superdock is a replacement for the macOS Dock. It exists for one reason the built-in Dock cannot serve: people who run several Chrome profiles and want one Dock icon per profile, with that profile's avatar, windows and previews. Around that it adds what people switching from Windows miss most, a window switcher, a dock on every display, and clickable dock edges, while matching Apple's Dock pixel for pixel so nothing else about the Mac changes.
Who makes it
Superdock is built by Mahad Kazmi, an independent developer, and is a small product by design: one app, one price, one person answering support at hello@superdock.app. It is written in Swift and SwiftUI for macOS 14 and later, signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and updated through a signed feed.
How it is built
Every visual decision is measured, not guessed: icon size, spacing, glass, running dots and sharpness are compared against screenshots of Apple's own Dock. Window attribution for Chrome profiles reads Chrome's own profile list and window titles rather than launching separate browsers, so your Chrome, memory and logins are untouched. The system Dock is hidden while Superdock runs and restored the moment it quits, with a watchdog that restores it even if the app crashes.
What we do not do
No analytics or tracking in the app. No account. The site sets no tracking cookies; the payment provider's script loads only when you click Buy. The licence server stores your purchase email and an anonymous device id per Mac so a licence can cover five Macs, and nothing else.
